INTRODUCTION TO NYUNGAR CULTURE
(KAC177)

Kulbardi Kadjininy ("Magpie Learning")

"nitje kulbardi nyinniny ngarnt wer yoorn darlyaninj jeerp - nitje nyungar boodjera" - join us where the magpie lives in the gumtree and the bobtail walks over the green grass - this is Aboriginal (Nyungar) land.

The Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre and Nyungar Elders identified a need for Nyungar language to be maintained whilst learning about the culture and traditions of the south-west Nyungar people. This unit provides an overview of Nyungar cultures and life through the learning of the Nyungar Language as well discussions based on the diverse readings contained within the unit.

This programme is open and offered to ALL Murdoch University undergraduates in both Semester I & II. This unit is offered at both Murdoch South St and Rockingham campuses.
