insight into Indigenous issues. In their teaching, academic staff draw on their vast experiences of working
in Aboriginal affairs and their own specialised areas of research & knowledge.
The AIS course offers students a unique insight into Australian Indigenous cultures.
Its scope includes both traditional and contemporary forms of Aboriginal society and culture,
and develops an overall framework for understanding the variety of traditions that together constitute
Aboriginality.
